The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into the background of a man that Moore police say beheaded a co-worker at a food distribution plant Thursday.

FBI INVESTIGATION

Through interviews with Nolen's co-workers at the business, the Moore PD learned that the suspect had recently attempted to convert co-workers to Islam and contacted the FBI. The Oklahoma City Division of the FBI has confirmed they were assisting the Moore Police Department in the investigation into the alleged attack.

"The motive is undetermined at this time." Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the FBI said. "There is no information currently in our possession to indicate there is any additional threat to the citizens of Oklahoma."

The Associated Press reports that Nolen regained consciousness Saturday and was interviewed by authorities. The FBI confirmed Friday they are investigating a Facebook page that appears to show Nolen.

According to OU Medical Center, Johnson was released from the hospital on Saturday. She was initially admitted Thursday in stable condition from stab wounds. Police say the knife used in the attack is one that is typically used at the food distribution business. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office reports the cause of death for Hufford as decapitation due to multiple sharp force trauma to the neck.

In 911 calls released from the incident, gunshots can be heard in the background of the call. Nolen spent several years in Oklahoma prisons after being convicted on several charges.

RESERVE DEPUTY CALLED A "HERO"

Moore Police credit Vaughan with saving the life of the second victim. "He's a hero in this situation. It could have gotten a lot worse" Lewis said.Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel also commended Vaughan Friday calling Nolen's acts "heinous" and saying Vaughan's actions saved the lives of other employees.

U.S. Representative Tom Cole, whose district covers the area of the attack, urged all citizens to cooperate with law enforcement officials as they work to determine what happened in the incident.

"Until they (law enforcement) make their findings public, I urge all parties to avoid speculation about the nature and cause of this dreadful event." Cole said.

The Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City says Nolen does not represent Islam.

"We condemn the actions of Alton Nolen. He does not act in accordance with Islamic Law and Regulations. Islam teaches us to be a people of peace and calm. We are against any acts of violence, oppression or brutality." Director of Islamic Information Saad Mohammed said. "We are against this very disturbing and vicious act of cowardice. He is as far away from Islam as one can be from the religion."
