Car crashes into Oklahoma River, driver blames sneeze

Posted: Updated:
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man whose car went into part of the Oklahoma River Tuesday Morning said a sneeze caused the accident.

The accident happened around 6:25 a.m. west of Eastern on the south side of I-40.

By the time emergency crews arrived on the scene, the driver of the car had gotten out of the vehicle.

The driver was not injured in the accident but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The OHP says the driver told them he was headed east on I40 and sneezed. He said he then overcorrected and ended up crashing into the river.
