USGS: Three earthquakes near Guthrie

LOGAN COUNTY -  The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is reporting two earthquakes near Guthrie on Saturday.

The first was registered at 12:11 p.m. and had a magnitude of 4.3.  The epicenter was eight miles east of Guthrie and four miles south-southwest of Langston.

A second temblor was reported 23 minutes later and rated at 3.0.  That earthquake was centered four miles east-southeast of Guthrie and 16 miles north-northeast of Edmond.  

A magnitude 2.9 quake was also reported at 11:47 a.m. it was centered five miles east of Guthrie.

The epicenters of the three quakes were within six miles of each other.  The Guthrie Police Department did receive some calls about the earthquakes but did not get any reports of damage.
