Father, son surprised by returning airman at special ceremony

Posted: Updated:
A father in Lone Tree, Colorado thinks he is going to his son's sixth grade DARE graduation, but instead, he and the young boy get much more than they expected.

The sixth grade DARE ceremony at Lone Tree Elementary School usually flies by, but during the special ceremony the officer calling name takes his sweet time.

The officer finally calls for Nick Harris to receive his certificate and when he reaches the stage, in walks Nick's older brother and Senior Airman Kegan Harris.

The brother's father was also in the audience and caught off guard.

Kegan hasn't been home in three years as he is an Air Force electrician stationed in Italy.
