Burn bans in effect for counties in Oklahoma

Burn bans in effect for counties in Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:
As a massive wildfire flares back up in Logan County, just five counties are under a burn ban in the state.

Alfalfa County, Cimarron County, Custer County, and Roger Mills County have all been under a burn ban since April 28th. Payne County, the county to the northeast of Logan County, was placed under a burn ban Monday.

Shortly after Payne County's burn ban, Harper County went under a county-issued burn ban as well.

All burn bans have been declared by the county and not by the Governor. So far, Governor Mary Fallin has not declared a burn ban for any parts of the state.
