Edmond Police: suspect in 12 home invasions caught on camera

Posted: Updated:
EDMOND - Edmond Police say a single man responsible for a dozen home invasions has been caught on surveillance cameras.

Police in Edmond released the attached photos of a man they say has broken into a total of 12 homes across the city since Monday.

On Tuesday, Edmond Police released information about the crimes that indicated the man broke into seven homes on Monday and took coins from two of the homes, and nothing else from the remaining residences. As police were releasing information about Monday's crimes, they say the suspect struck again on Tuesday.

According to Edmond police, five additional homes were broken into in the same manner as first seven. In one of those crimes, Edmond says he was caught on surveillance footage and they hope it helps lead to his arrest.

The suspect's description is unchanged from Tuesday: a black man, wearing gym shorts and a white t-shirt. They say he is between 16 and 19 years old. Police say he was driving an older model white Honda Accord with a red stripe down the side.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 405-359-4466.
