SAN ANTONIO, TX - A San Antonio mother was reunited with her three children last week after their car was stolen with the kids inside.

Our sister station Fox 29 reports, the carjacking happened around 5 p.m. last Thursday near Pecan Valley and Goliad Road on the Southeast Side. Police say the mother and her children, 7-year-old twins and a 1-year-old baby, were inside their Gold Nissan Altima in their driveway about to leave for church, when the mother ran back inside to grab a bottle for the baby.

A man then ran up and jumped into the driver seat and sped off in the car with the children inside. The 7-year-old twins began fighting with the man as he drove off. They continued fighting with him until he dropped them off about a mile away along Avondale.

The children were checked out by EMS and appeared to be unharmed. A short time later, they were reunited with their mom and other family members.

Police are still searching for the suspect driver, who the family they had seen in the neighborhood before.
