A mom of a three-year-old was frantic after her son disappeared. She called police to report it while patrons at the bowling alley found him in an unexpected location.

KETV in Lincoln, Nebraska reported the boy was found safe inside a claw crane machine at the bowling alley. Lincoln Police told the TV station they were called around 5:30 Monday night after the boy's mom couldn't find him.

At the bowling alley across the street, patrons made the surprising discovery: the boy was sitting with stuffed animals inside the machine. The station says a bowling alley employee called the vendor and the boy was rescued.

Read more from KETV about the reunion and why she wasn't charged.
