OKC police arrest two suspects following early morning pursuit

Posted: Updated:

Police have two burglary suspects in custody after a high speed pursuit early Monday morning.

Police arrested a man and woman after their car crashed into a median at the intersection of Rockwell Avenue and Reno Avenue around 4:45 a.m.

The suspects took off running but police were able to capture the two at a homeless camp nearby.

The chase started after witnesses called police saying the suspects were stealing from a truck at 10th and Barnes.

When officers confronted the suspects, they took off.

Police eventually called off the pursuit for safety concerns after the suspects' car topped speeds over 100 mph.

The suspects crashed their car a short time later.
