K-State Shuts Out OU 5-0; Sooners Take Series 2-1

(NORMAN)- The Oklahoma baseball team had just three hits Sunday afternoon against Kansas State, as the Sooners fell to the Wildcats in a shutout, 5-0.

OU opened up Big 12 play this weekend, but still took the series two games to one. The Sooners improve to 18-7 overall, 2-1 in league play.

Freshman right hander Jake Elliot pitched four innings, allowed four runs on six hits and three walks. He also had three strikeouts.

OU sophomore left hander Jacob Evans pitched four-shoutout innings. He gave up just one hit, one walk and struck out one.

Two of Oklahoma's three hits went to sophomore left fielder Hunter Haley. Freshman DH Niko Buentello was one for two with a walk.

Oklahoma travels to Oral Roberts Tuesday night. First pitch slated for 6:30 pm.
