Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood plan Nashville move

Posted: Updated:

Two country superstars who hang their hats in Oklahoma will soon be making a move to Music City. And, unlike Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, this will be a permanent one.

Trisha Yearwood told CMT.com on Sunday that she and her husband, Garth Brooks, are planning on packing up and moving to Nashville. This fall, the country couple's youngest daughter is heading off to college and Yearwood told the country site that they're ready for the next chapter.

"Garth and I have always sort of been gypsies. If you do this for a living, home for us is really just where we are together," she said.

Even though they're leaving the Sooner State, Yearwood told CMT that she'll miss Oklahoma.

"I have loved living in Oklahoma," Yearwood told CMT's Alison Bonaguro in Chicago on March 16. "It's been a great place to raise our girls, and the thing I'll miss the most is that I've made some of the best friends I'll ever have. But we'll always be best friends."

The announcement comes just a few months after Brooks announced he would return to touring with a world tour this year.

There is not a date set for when the country duo will leave for Nashville.
