Sean Vaughn is wanted on a felony warrant for kidnapping and domestic abuse by strangulation and also for assault on an officer and obstructing officer.

A Logan County family hopes a wanted felon is put behind bars. Now the Sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in tracking him down.

The Logan County Sheriff's Department says Sean Michael Vaughn is wanted for felony kidnapping and strangulation. He's also charged with assaulting a police officer. Delmar Goff and his family believe Vaughn is guilty of much more, they believe he almost took their lives.

Goff, his wife, son and his son's girlfriend were woken up by smoke and flames around 4:30a.m. on Tuesday.

"The whole front porch was a big blaze. I mean it was 30ft flames," said Goff.

Everyone got out of the home before it burnt to the ground, but they all think Vaughn started the fire.

On Wednesday Goff and his family searched through the ashes of their home for family heirlooms and sets of keys. He lost almost everything, but are thankful for some of the special items they were able to recover.

Goff thinks the fire was set by Vaughn to get even with his son and his girlfriend.

"Mr. Vaughn had been reported in the area and so we are wanting to question him about that," said Chief Deputy Richard Stephens.

Vaughn is not only wanted for questioning for the fire, but he's also wanted on felony warrants. Goff says Vaughn kidnapped and strangled his son's girlfriend. Documents show Vaughn did not show up to court appearances related to those charges from November of last year. He's also charged with assaulting a police officer.

"It just makes me mad," said Goff. "If they catch him I hope they throw him under the jail."

"He has business with law enforcement that needs to be taken care of either way," said Chief Deputy Stephens. "He may not have set the fire, that has yet to be determined, but he certainly wants to be questioned related to that."

The Sheriff's office says someone did see Vaughn near Goff's home Tuesday morning, but he took off.

Because of Vaughn's violent charges the Sheriff's office says if you have information on his whereabouts, do not confront him, just give police a call at:405-260-3204.
