Mysterious hoverboard video featuring celebs is fake

Ever since Marty McFly stole the girl's Mattel Hoverboard in "Back to the Future II" to escape Biff's grandson and his gang, the hope of one being available soon has floated in the air.

So when HUVrTech 'unveiled' a Back to the Future-esque hoverboard, complete with a Christopher Lloyd endorsement, the internet went crazy. The video shows several celebrities including Tony Hawk and Moby 'riding' the hoverboard.

After a brief 'is it real' debate, it is, in fact, fake.

The website for HUVrTECH has a countdown to Dec. 2014 as its destination time. Other than that, the website claims to be a real hoverboard maker.
