Aside from the Oklahoma City mayor race, voters in the metro area are also taking to the polls to decide various bond issues and city council positions Tuesday.

Voters in the Deer Creek Public School District passed two propositions to fund school projects with both tallying nearly 73% approval vote. Proposition one gives $4.4 million toward school maintenance and repair while proposition two designates $600,000 to buy six to eight new buses.

In Midwest City, Daniel McClure won the race for city council ward 1 with 87% of the vote over Thurston Dandridge. In Ward 3, Rick Dawkins won the seat with 54% of the vote over Espaniola Bowen and Cedrick Ford. Christine Allen won the Midwest City Ward 5 council seat, taking 76% of the vote over Wendell Boucher and Daniel Stankiewicz.

In Yukon, Richard Russell won the race for the ward 1 city council seat. Russell took home 65% of the vote over Nick Grba's 34%. John Alberts won the ward 2 seat with 54% over Dayton Betts and Ward Larson.
