The Oklahoma Sooners put up a good fight but after 40 minutes of action the Sooners were on the losing end of an 83-75 game with Kansas.  The Sooners, who were trying to win in Lawrence for the first time since 1993, got solid games from Cam Clark and Buddy Hield.  Clark had 18 points while Hield added 16.

Kansas had all five of their starters in double figures with Nadir Tharpe scoring 19 points and Wayne Selden and Andrew Wiggins each scoring 15.  The Jayhawks are the bigger team and it showed in rebounding with KU outrebounding OU 40-29.

The win gives the Jayhawks their 10th straight regular season Big 12 title.

    Oklahoma City is getting a new pro basketball team. The Oklahoma City Thunder are moving their D-League team, the 66ers from Tulsa to Oklahoma City. The last two season's the 66ers played their games in Bixby but that building is no longer available.     The Oklahoma City Thunder added Sebastian Telfair to their roster. Telfair signs a one year non guaranteed contract with the Thunder. Telfair spent last season playing in China where he averaged 26 points per game.
