Logan County investigators say a threat written on a bathroom wall against Coyle Public Schools is being taken seriously and they've stepped up security.
Logan County PIO Richard Stevens says a threat was found written on a bathroom wall Tuesday at Coyle High School that allegedly threatened Coyle Public Schools. The threat allegedly wrote that someone wanted to kill a number of students and one administrator. It also reportedly listed their names.
Deputies arrived at the school Tuesday to check out the building and on Wednesday, the district stepped up security. Several officers and K9 units were on scene and searched students' bags and clothing. Metal detectors and wands were also used.
Parents were alerted via phone of the threat.
