Baseball's best pitcher was in Oklahoma City Tuesday night.  Los Angeles Dodger Clayton Kershaw was at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame to receive the Warren Spahn Award.

The Spahn award to goes to baseball's top lefthanded pitcher.  Kershaw, who also won the Cy Young Award, won 16 times last season.  He had 232 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.83.

It's the second time Kershaw has won the Spahn award with 2011 being his first experience.

"Anytime you get to be associated with the Cy Young or the Warren Spahn award you get to put your name with some of the greatest pitchers of all time.  That's obviously pretty special.  I definitely don't take that for granted," said Kershaw.

Other winners at the event included Michele Smith.  Smith, who is the lead analyst for the Women's College World series, was honored with the Bill Teegins Excellence in Broadcasting Award.

Among others honored were Deer Creek High School baseball coach Ron Moore and Southmoore High School softball coach Jeff Small.
