The Canadian County Sheriff announced Monday that deputies arrested a 34-year-old man they say solicited sex from what he thought was a 15-year-old girl and then showed up to try and meet her at the Mustang Walmart.

Nathan Jones was arrested Friday afternoon at the Walmart in Mustang on charges of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor.

According to deputies, Jones responded to an internet ad placed by an undercover Canadian County Sheriff's deputy around 9:30 AM Friday. The sheriff says Jones responded very quickly after the ad was posted and 'aggressively pursued a sexually explicit conversation'. Deputies say Jones requested nude photos from the fictitious 15-year-old but was denied. They said he then asked for clothed photos so he had something he could please himself to.

Deputies say Jones continued to send text messages and pushed the girl to meet him in person. According to Deputies, Jones then sent a graphic message that described his plans that included choking and gagging her. That's when they said it was time to step in.

"When Jones began describing the violent things he intended to do, my deputies realized he posed a serious threat and they went into high gear to make an arrest," said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff, in a press release.

Deputies say Jones sent a message at 2:45 Friday afternoon, requesting the two meet at the Walmart parking lot in Mustang. They say he described his vehicle and sent a photo of his car.

Before Jones arrived, deputies assembled a surveillance team. Once he pulled into the parking lot, deputies surrounded the vehicle and arrested him. They say he admitted to being the person who sent the messages.

According to deputies, Jones claims to be a martial arts expert and Iraqi war veteran.

He was arrested and booked into the Canadian County Jail with a bond set at $50,000.
