SW Oklahoma City grass fire threatens homes

A cigarette is to blame for a grass fire in SW Oklahoma City Monday afternoon, according to fire crews.

Fire crews in Oklahoma City and Mustang got the call to respond to a fire near SW 74th and Council Road around 1:40 PM Monday.

The fire was located just west of Will Rogers World Airport and is threatened the Westmoor mobile home park.

The fire burned about 10 acres and an abandoned trailer. One person was treated for smoke inhiliation.

Fire crews evacuated the area while the flames threatened homes, but residents were allowed back home a few hours later.
