Alabama fans name newborn son "Krimson Tyde"

Posted: Updated:

Celebrities are known for some pretty crazy baby names... and now... so is on die hard Alabama family.

The love of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team runs deep in the Steele family.  So deep they named their newborn son ...."Krimson Tyde."

It didn't take long before their name choice was the hot topic on social media, newscasts and websites across the country igniting a firestorm of reaction.

Most of which, Krimson's parents have tried to brush off.

Krimson's father, Steven Steele says, "Lot of people say it's a bad name. They wouldn't name him that. But it's not their choice. It's ours."

Krimson's mother, Summer says, "It's not meant for them to like or have any say-so. And, plus, it's not their child."

The Steele's are focusing not on the opinions of thousands online, but rather the new addition to their family.
