OREGON -

A police chase in Oregon came to an unexpected ending after the female suspect jumped from a bridge into a cold river.

According to KPTV, the high-speed chase was caught on dash cameras Thursday in Troutdale, Oregon.

Police say the suspect was weaving in and out of traffic on city streets in a stolen car.

As the suspect approached a bridge, she bailed out of the moving car and jumped off the side of a bridge into a freezing cold river.

Rescue crews were able to pull the suspect safely out of the river and she suffered only minor injuries.

The suspect has a lengthy criminal history which includes theft and heroin possession convictions.
