Terre Gables learns how home builders are making new homes safer for emergencies

Builders in Oklahoma want to make sure that in the case of an emergency, like a tornado, families don't have to run from their homes to take cover, they can go to a safe room that is built into their homes.


Home builders are always trying to make homes more safe for families and their loved ones and since the tragic May 2013 tornadoes the push of families have access to shelter is stronger than ever.

In Moore Oklahoma a house is being built with just that, a safe room. Jay London, the President of Jay London homes and Gary Culver, a Keller Williams realty agent talk with Terre about the building process and purpose of these types of homes.
