The Oklahoma men's basketball team won its Big 12 opener 88-85 at Texas. Buddy Hield led the Sooners in scoring with 22 points but it was Jordan Woodard who sealed the deal.
Woodard hit 8-10 free throws, most down the stretch, that allowed Oklahoma to hold off the Longhorns at the Erwin Center in Austin. Oklahoma had five players in double figure scoring including Tyler Neal, who scored 13 points off the bench to go with seven rebounds.
Oklahoma is now 12-2 on the season.
