17 arrested for alcohol-related offenses on New Year's Eve

The Oklahoma County Sheriff says a total of 17 metro-area residents were put behind bars in the hours leading up to and after midnight on New Year's Eve.

The sheriff's office assigned additional deputies to work DUI patrols for the holiday. They reported making seven arrests for DUI and issuing 21 separate citations.
