Earthquake in western Payne County

PAYNE COUNTY -

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has reported an earthquake 10 miles south-southwest of Perry and 15 miles west of Stillwater.

The 3.1 magnitude temblor hit at 8:26 a.m. Saturday morning and was located just east of Interstate 35.  The earthquake was one of six 2.5 magnitude or greater quakes reported by USGS during the past week in Oklahoma.

No damage has been reported from this quake.
