Yukon police officer injured in early morning accident-one in custody

Update:

Chelsea Swank, 22, of Norman has been taken into custody with a charge of driving under the influence. Swank was driving near Reno and Mustang Rd. about 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning when she apparently crossed the median and struck a vehicle driven by Matthew Fairchild a Yukon police officer.

Fairchild was transported to a hospital where he was treated and released.

 

 

A Yukon police officer is recovering from injuries following an accident early Thursday morning.

The head-on crash happened around 3:00 a.m. near Reno and Mustang Road.

Oklahoma City police officers arrested the driver of the other car on suspicion of driving under the influence.

We're told the Yukon police officer was taken to the hospital with a neck injury but should be okay.
