2 Chainz, aka Tauheed Epps, was arrested Aug. 21 for obstruction. He was charged Dec. 18.
Rapper 2 Chainz has officially been charged with a misdemeanor for his role when authorities say he and his entourage refused to follow police commands when stopped in August.
2 Chainz, real name Tauheed Epps, was charged with obstructing an officer last week in an Oklahoma County Court. Charges were filed against Epps, along with Sedric Brooks, and Abdullah Mujahid on Dec. 18 but the reports were not generated until Tuesday. The tour bus of the 36-year-old rapper was pulled over late on Aug. 21 after he opened for rappers T.I. and Lil Wayne at Chesapeake Arena. Police say they pulled the bus over because of a faulty taillight. That's when the officer reported suspecting drug use and asked to search the bus.
Police waited outside the bus for 9 hours for a warrant. Nobody on the bus left during that time. Just before 7:30 AM Thursday, the bus was towed to the police training facility at NW 8th and Portland where a warrant was served and 11 people were arrested.
