Two Custer County Sheriff deputies are on leave after they were involved in a shooting over the weekend.
The Oklahoma state Bureau of Investigation says an 18-year-old was shot and killed by two Custer County Deputies Saturday night.
The department says it received two 911 calls around 7:00 PM Saturday regarding a domestic dispute in the 10000 block of North 2200 Road near Clinton. According to a report from the OSBI, the second call stated that an 18-year-old man had two knives.
When officials arrived, they entered the home and eventually fired their weapons at Mah-Hi-Vist Goodblanket.
Goodblanket died from his injuries and a deputy was injured in the shooting.
OSBI agents were called to the scene and are now investigating. They'll hand over their results to the district attorney who will determine if the shooting was justified.
The OSBI did release the names of the deputies because they are the subjects of an investigation. They're both on routine, paid administrative leave.
