Tennessee police apprehend The Grinch

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office released some good news today, announcing they have arrested the world's most-wanted Christmas thief The Grinch.

According to the report, Grinch is 56-years-old, lives on Mount Crumpit near Whoville and had been hiding in the Montgomery County area with intent to steal Christmas trees, decorations and presents from local households. But it's how the Montgomery Sheriff's office captured The Grinch which is turning heads.

According to Sheriff John Fuson, it all started with a tip.

"We received a tip from Cindy Lou, of Whoville, who said after failing to stop Christmas in several other cities, he was headed to our area," said Sheriff John Fuson.

Lou is one of the first victims of the Grinch and has dedicated her life to finding him after he seemingly reformed his ways of Yuletide swiping, only to continue his stealing spree outside of her town.

Officers were then able to use The Grinch's best friend against him.

"Our investigators spotted his dog, Max, at the Dog Park, and we managed to outfit him with an undetectable tracking device and audio receiver," Fuson added. "Thankfully, for our investigation, Grinch tells his dog everything."

Investigators caught up to him and placed him under arrest. They told him about how they caught him and that's when he confessed saying:

"How could it be so?" Grinch said. "It came without ribbons! It came without tags! It came without packages, boxes or bags!"
