Sooner fans can help send military members to Sugar Bowl

Posted: Updated:

The University of Oklahoma announced last week it's continuing a tradition to help troops go see the Sooners in action in bowl games.

OU said Friday it will continue the tradition of its Tickets for Troops program to help boost morale of the men and women in uniform. This year, Oklahoma will battle Alabama in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on January 2 and you can help send the men and women who protect our country to the game.

A single ticket costs $160 but while you're buying yours, you can donate however much you want to OU's program. The athletic department will then distribute the tickets, free of charge, to military personnel from New Orleans and the surrounding area.

Fans interested in making the generous donation can click here.
