The Oklahoma City Fire Department says one person is dead after flames and smoke took over a home near Hefner and N. May.

Crews were called to a house fire in the 11000 block of N. Miller Ave just after 1:00 PM Monday.

The fire department says a hospice care employee was at the house for a delivery when they noticed flames and called 911.

When emergency responders, they saw flames and smoke and one person was inside the home. Officials say the person died before firefighters were able to gain access to their location.
