OKC council members to tackle neighborhood eyesores, urban chickens and sidewalks

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City is working to address a major eyesore in our neighborhoods- vacant buildings.

On Tuesday, Oklahoma City council members will consider an ordinance that would require people with a vacant or abandoned building to pay a price and register it with the city.

During Tuesday's City Council meeting, council members will also hear about an urban agriculture ordinance. The ordinance would allow for rain barrels and backyard chickens.

And finally, council members will consider a resolution approving an additional $9 million for sidewalks in the Maps 3 project.
