The Oklahoma City Thunder opened up a six game homestand with a 115-113 win over the Denver Nuggets Monday night. It was not a pretty game for the Thunder, who gave up 39 points in the first quarter and trailed by as many as 14 points in the first half.
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 38 points while Russell Westbrook shook off a slow start shooting and ended with 30 points 12 rebounds and seven assists. Rebounding was a big factor for Oklahoma City. They outrebounded Denver 53-45 which allowed them to make up for a poor shooting night as team. The Thunder only hit 40 percent of their shots while Denver shot 48 percent, which was down from the first half where they were hitting 59 percent at one point.
Oklahoma City continues their homestand Thursday night when the Los Angeles Clippers come to town.
