Oklahoma City police arrested a man after he stole a vehicle with a 4-year-old sleeping in the backseat early Sunday.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers were flagged down by a woman around midnight at the intersection of California and Martin Luther King.
The woman said her vehicle, with her 4-year-old daughter sleeping in the backseat, had been stolen.
After a quick search, police found the vehicle abandoned near the Tinker Diagonal with the young girl still in the back seat.
Officers were able to track down the suspect, 30-year-old Brion Williams, at a nearby apartment complex.
Williams was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for kidnapping, sexual battery, robbery 1, unauthorized use of a vehicle and threatening acts of violence.
