Five-year-old Miles, who is fighting leukemia, made a wish to be a superhero. Now, the city of San Francisco will transform into Gotham City and everyone from the mayor to the police chief will make sure Miles' dream to be "Batkid" comes true.

On the morning of Nov. 15, a fictional breaking news story will appear on local television and the police chief will ask Batkid, aka Miles, along with adult Batman, to help the city fight crime.

They'll rescue a damsel-in-distress from the cable-car tracks and catch the Riddler in the act of robbing a downtown vault. After a special lunch, he will get a message from the police chief and go to the window where he will look down and see a crowd of volunteers jumping up and down pleading for Batkid's help. There will even be a convertible batmobile, says the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of kids with life-threatening illnesses.

To end his day, Batkid will make a final stop at City Hall where the mayor and the police chief will present him with a key to the city.

The public is invited to cheer Miles on as he fights crime and battles villains. The group is expecting hundreds, possibly thousands, of people to participate.
