Ardmore Police arrested three subjects following a rash of crimes early Tuesday.

According to the Ardmore Police Department, officers responded to a burglary at the Big 5 Apartments around 4 a.m. Tuesday. While at the scene, officers heard three gunshots in the neighborhood.

Soon after the gunshots, police received a phone call from an elderly woman in the 1200 block of 4th NE stating that someone had fatally shot her dog.

Officers determined that the vehicle description from the burglary and the shooting were very similar. The vehicle was located outside of a residence on Burton SE.

When officers arrived at the scene, one of the suspects ran into a residence and locked the door. Officers obtained a search warrant and began investigating the residence and the vehicle.

During their search the officers found marijuana and the handgun believed to be used in the shooting. Officers believe the marijuana was packaged with the intent to distribute.

Officers arrested 23-year-old Octavius Godwin and booked him on charges of use of a motor vehicle to facilitate the discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Officers also charged DasJaa Booker and a 15-year-old female with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in relation to the crime.

The stress over body image is leading to a dangerous practice. While women focus on being thin, many men are looking to bulk up. For a growing number of men, the idea of bigger is better is turning into a complex psychiatric disorder called bigorexia or muscle dysmorphia.
