Bailey Turnpike reopened after trooper-involved accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a member of it's force was involved in an accident on interstate 40 near Chickasha.

Betsy Randolph with OHP says the trooper was involved in the accident near mile marker 87 in the northbound lanes just before 3:30 Thursday afternoon. Crews closed the turnpike in that direction as they investigated.

The trooper's identity and injuries are unknown at this time.

The turnpike was reopened around 4:45 PM.
