Children's hospital nurses cheer patients on in 'Brave' video

Children's hospital nurses cheer patients on in 'Brave' video

Posted: Updated:

Two nurses at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital had an idea: make a video featuring patients as something fun to look back on when cancer is, hopefully, just a memory.

The nurses in unit 5 at the hospital heard the song "Brave" by Sara Bareilles and knew it was the perfect way to do it. So they organized with 70 staff members to put the video together.

On their days off and before their shifts, they danced their hearts out and cheered on their patients and featured them as the stars of the video.

And it's been a hit. More than 335,000 people have watched the song and dance to cheer them on. Watch it above by clicking play.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for western Oklahoma until 11PM Wednesday.  As of now, no part of this watch covers any part of the Metro. A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions for severe thunderstorms are possible, and we've already seen a few storms in western Oklahoma this evening.
