Chef Mee's Peach Flambe

Sammy Hagar and The Wabos will be in town Saturday, October 19th at Grand Casino in Shawnee. And in honor of his performance Chef Mee is whipping up some Sammy inspired Peach Flambe.

Ingredients:

 

1oz Sammy's Beach Bar Rum

½ oz  Peach Schnapps

Brown Sugar (Walnut Size)

Butter (Walnut Size)

Pecans

1 Peach sliced

Ice Cream

 

Directions:

Melt brown sugar and butter together in pan over high heat add rum, (be careful will flame up). Add Schnapps (be careful will flame up). Add Pecans and Peach, serve over Ice Cream.

    A degenerative eye disease slowly robbed Roger Pontz of his vision.

    Diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa as a teenager, Pontz has been almost completely blind for years. Now, thanks to a high-tech procedure that involved the surgical implantation of a "bionic eye," he's regained enough of his eyesight to catch small glimpses of his wife, grandson and cat.
