One year since her family last saw her, still no sign of JaRay Wilson

Posted: Updated:

On October 15, 2012, a Weatherford teenager was caught on security cameras at the Hydro Mini Mart. By the time those image were captured, it had already been a day since her family last saw her in person.

Rodney and Jara Wilson last saw 16-year-old JaRay Wilson on October 14, 2012. Her family was told she ran away and police were unable to track her down. 12 months later, fears continue that she was a victim of human trafficking.

An Amber Alert was never issued for the girl.

"It didn't meet the criteria is what we were told," Rodney told FOX 25's Tiffany Tatro in September as lawmakers discussed an alert system for runaways.

"It wasn't a known abduction. She was with friends then all of a sudden she disappeared and they said she ran away," added Jara.

JaRay's family continues to plea for her return and anyone with information is urged to OBN Human Trafficking. Their Tip Line is 855-617-2288. You can also call the Custer County Sheriff at 580-323-1616, or simply dial 911.
