For the 25th year, "The Simpsons" are once again inciting laughter in homes across the country following Sunday's premiere, but the executive producer revealed a main character will be killed off.

During a conference to promote the 25th season, Al Jean gave viewers everywhere a hint.

"I'll give you a clue that the actor playing the character won an Emmy for playing that character, but I won't say who it is," Jean said.

So that narrows it down, right? Not quite. Almost all of the major characters have won Emmy awards.

There's always the chance it could be one of the many characters voiced by Dan Castellaneta and Hank Azaria have played over the years. Castellaneta is best known for Homer while Azaria is Apu but both have won multiple Emmys for a variety characters, any of which could go. Nancy Cartwright (Bart) and Yeardley Smith (Lisa) both won Emmys in 1992 and are unlikely to get cut.

So who will go? We'll just have to watch every Sunday night on FOX 25 until we find out. And you can catch all your favorite episodes on CW 34 weekdays at 4:00 PM.
