Johnston County accident kills three

MANNSVILLE -

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. Saturday night three people were killed in an accident on State Highway 199 near Mannsville in Johnston County.

A release from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) says the accident involved a car and two motorcycles.

The car was traveling east bound when for an unknown reason it went left of center and struck the two motorcycles.

The drivers and passengers of the motorcycles were thrown from the cycles. Both motorcycle drivers and one passenger were pronounce dead at the scene.

A second passenger identified as Christie Lawson, 37, of Ardmore was transported to a local hospital.

The dead were identified as Scott Lawson, 39, of Ardmore, Robert Pullen, 64, of Davis, and Karen Pletcher , 56 of Ardmore.

The driver of the car John Peebles, 80, of Blanchard, was pinned in the vehicle for about 35 minutes until he was freed by the Mannsville Fire Department. Peebles was then transported to a hospital in Ardmore.

OHP is continuing to investigate the accident.
