A Texas jury has sentenced a San Marcos woman to life in prison for her sixth DWI conviction.

According to the Hays County District Attorney's Office, 44-year-old Rose Ann Davidson was pulled over on July 27, 2012 by a Kyle, Texas police officer on I-35 after he observed her driving erratically.

She was arrested after the officer concluded she was drunk -- an open container of beer was also found in her vehicle.

Davidson had five prior DWI convictions dating back to 1996 and had only recently been released from prison, according to the DA's Office.
