Oklahoma will have a different starting quarterback when Tulsa comes to town Saturday morning.

Knight bruised his knee during the game against West Virginia on Saturday. Head coach Bob Stoops made that announcement during the Big 12 conference call on Monday, saying Knight will miss Saturday's game against Tulsa and could miss the following week as well.

Stoops said backup quarterback Blake Bell will get the start against Tulsa and Kendal Thompson will be on the practice field on Monday.

Stoops reported that Knight was injured at the end of the first half against West Virginia. He was replaced by Bell in the fourth quarter of the win.

Many people will say you can't get anything out of beating an overmatched opponent.  Oklahoma did play an overmatched Louisiana Tech team but they did what you're supposed to do.  They dominated from the start and won a game that wasn't as close as even a 48-16 blowout suggests it was.

The Oklahoma City Thunder traded backup center Hasheem Thabeet to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Thunder send cash and Thabeet in exchange for a protected second round pick in 2015 and a trade exception. The move saves OKC $1.25 million that they would have had to pay Thabeet if he had been on the roster August 31st. Oklahoma City now has about $2.8 million in cap space to tinker with the roster that has 14 players. It's expected Philly will waive Thabeet to avoid paying him $1.25 million.
