Amber Alert canceled after boy and father found safe

Posted: Updated:

An Amber Alert is canceled early Thursday morning after a 2 year old boy is found safe and his father arrested.

A group of fishermen near Highway 75 and 106th street north noticed an unlocked gate and then found the SUV where William Corey Taylor was hiding with his 2 year old don Jason.

Tulsa police had to break out the windshield and pull the little boy out of his father's arms before making the arrest.

Investigators say William took his biological son Jason Tuesday night around 9:30 from 5621 E. 71st Pl.

William Taylor has a history of violence and suffers from a mental illness and was thought to be armed and dangerous. There is a permanent protective order in place for Jason with William listed as the Defendant.
