Strip club invitation causes powder panic in Baltimore

Posted: Updated:

(WBFF) -- It was supposed to be a clever invitation to an event at a Baltimore strip club, but it created the wrong kind of excitement.

It turned into a major incident, forcing the evacuation of part of the Constellation Energy building.

Hazardous materials teams surrounded Constellation Energy in Baltimore after two executives on the 18th floor received envelopes with no return addresses.

Inside was what was described as a suspicious crystallized substance. It turned out to be just sand, a creative promotion for a luau at the gentlemen's club "Scores" which sent out 500 of the invitations to businesses and others on their mailing list.
