A bicyclist is dead following an accident in Bethany Saturday afternoon.

According to the Bethany Police Department, the accident happened at noon on NW 39th Expressway at N. Overholser Dr.

Police say the bicyclist was on the shoulder of the road when he lost control and fell into the right hand lane. A truck pulling a boat then ran over the cyclist.

Police say it's unlikely the driver of the truck will face any charges. Police urge both bikers and drivers to be more aware of their surroundings.
