OKLAHOMA CITY -

A three alarm fire has left five families without a home. The fire began shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 5600 block of N. May.

When fire fighters arrived on the scene black smoke and flame could be seen coming from a second floor apartment.

The fire fighters called for a third alarm because of the heat. An elderly man was pulled out of the building and treated for smoke inhalation.

Eight apartments were burned in the fire, three of the apartments were vacant. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
