For years, the proportions of Barbie have been criticized for not being realistic. So, what if she did look real?

That's the question that designer and writer for MyDeals.com Nickolay Lamm answered with her Barbie.

Using measurements from the Center for Disease Control of an average 19-year-old woman and a 3d printed model of a "normal" woman, Lamm got the results above.

"Some people say that we shouldn't pay attention to the body proportions of Barbie because she is just a toy," wrote Lamm. "On the surface, that sounds like a valid argument. But a closer look, through research, suggests that Barbie may lead to..."Lamm went on to source raising rates in body dissatisfaction among young girls and unhealthy eating behaviors."
