Winning a national title this year for OU softball coach Patty Gasso is paying off big time.
Gasso is rewarded a 40 percent pay raise by the University Of Oklahoma Board of Regents. Gasso gets a bump from $215,000 to $350,000. Gasso is also approved for a $65,000 bonus for winning another national championship in the future.
Gasso has won two national titles. Her first national title came back in 2000. Several assistant coaches from various sports also were approved for pay raises.
OU football coach Bob Stoops and head basketball coaches Lon Kruger and Sherri Coale were not discussed for raises.
